Saliva Based Lab Tests

Changing the Future of Care

We develop and process saliva-based tests with a focus on pediatric neurodevelopmental conditions including autism spectrum disorder, Fragile X syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. Our tests use a simple, non-invasive saliva swab for sample collection and can be sent directly to the patient’s home or the doctor’s office.

The development of these products will fuel healthcare decisions supported by personalized, biological data. Pairing this data with current diagnostic standards that include clinical observation, symptom scales, and personal experience, will put patients and providers in the know.

Now Offering Genetic Testing

We’re currently offering saliva-based genetic tests for genes associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities (ID), and Fragile X Syndrome (FXS).

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that a patient undergo genetic testing after an autism or neurodevelopmental disorder diagnosis, particularly when there is an existing family history of conditions like Fragile X Syndrome and Fragile X-related disorders, Rhett syndrome, or other syndromes with defined clinical characteristics.

Our genetic testing can only be ordered by a licensed healthcare provider. Results of our assays are processed in our 50-state CLIA/CLEP accredited clinical lab and sent back to the ordering provider within 4-6 weeks of receipt at our lab.

Autism Gene Panel

Our ASD/ID Gene Panel uses next-generation sequencing to target genes associated with syndromic and non-syndromic causes of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID).

Fragile X Test

Our Fragile X Test is a CGG Repeat Assay. It detects the number of copies of the chemical base, CGG. If too many copies exist (between 55-200) in the FMR1 gene it can cause Fragile X associated conditions.
